Found out recently

That a high school classmate

Was interested in me

Back then

But he dated

My best-friend

Freshman year

He was afraid

To cross the BFF bond

Perhaps if he waited

A month or so

If only I knew

He thought I was cute

Even though

I was a dork

He was on the wrestling team

Popular with the ‘in’ crowd

Why would he like me

If only he took the chance

And talked to me then

Could have changed my life

Who knows what would have happened
